Shingle Inn Fountain Gate

Great food. Much nicer than the food court at fountain gate. LJ and the other staff are very efficient and friendly. Great for wheelchairs and scooters.

Timely service, food is delicious and always a treat. A nice place to hide in comfort. My go to place for lunch or brunch for me time when I'm at fountain gate. Service is friendly and warm, and my cooked meal was out within 10 mins and drink given almost straight away. Very yummy iced coffee.

Went out for brunch at a cozy cafe. The staff were very friendly, and there was no wait time for a table- despite it being busy. Menus had a wide range of options and the cafe cabinet had the most irresistible treats. I got the banana bread, the kitchen warmed and provided me with butter, and it was delicious! Due to it being busy, we were seated in the middle of the cafe, so it had moderate noise, though I still enjoyed my time and was able to have a good conversation with my companion. The cafe has a long stretch the seating with nice dim, lighting down the back, the mood is cozy and the booth seats look incredibly comfortable. The accessibility and help the staff provided for the people around me was exceptionally good. Usually, I wouldn’t point this out, but there where a few wheelchair users, and staff happily moved chairs and provided a comfortable space for there customers. Would definitely recommend this spot, and there banana bread!

A really lovely place to relax for a meal with some healthy options on the menu ranging from savory to sweet desserts with great table service from friendly staff and they know how to make a really good coffee too. SEATING: You can get away from the crowds in the comfy booths at the back of the cafe or sit out the front at the tables and watch the world go by. FOOD. My son had the Eggs Benedict with salmon & cherry tomatoes which he was pleased with and I ordered the Smashed Avocado with goat cheese & hash browns. I asked for one egg as I wasn't overly hungry and one little egg was what I received and what an unimpressive dish it made. I traded a hash brown for the tomatoes from my sons plate which sort of improved the look of my dish. COFFEE. EDITED 17/09/24. We ordered our large coffees' at the same time as our meals but for them to be in "take out" cups as we knew we'd finish the meal before the coffee. Our coffee's arrived after our meal but they were good and hot, ordering them in "Take out" cups confused them which was our fault. STAFF. The staff are lovely, very helpful and pleasant. OVERALL. EDIT: 17/09/24. We have since visited this cafe a few more times and has improved greatly and we will definitely go again. They also play quiet music or none at all which is wonderful as you can have a conversation without having to yell or just hear the cafe noises which is nice on it's own. COST. $63.
